influencing and Impacting
In the quest of searching for means how one
can have influence in order to get impact on each and everything one wants to achieve
in different areas of life. Good relationship is the key.
Relationship
refers to the ability to interact between two ends one person to another
community to community organisation with community.
Relationship affects how communications
between two ends are made and the impact of the communication between the ends.
But one of the means that I found out has
impact in improving relationship between different ends is that each one who
needs to have influence and impact is
Loosing oneself, giving more through that way
it is when people can easily form trust and build stronger relationship with
your organisation.
I have watched several people who are
extremely givers back stabbed but never lost instead they were blessed more.
I have seen someone working harder with lower
salary and worked to the extent some asked what kind of spirit is this working
overtime yet earning very little but seemingly content and on that I later was
involved in a discussion on how to empower that person to improve the earnings
of that person, but majority of people likes to work to the extent of their
earning not to the extent of satisfaction of the work and clients receiving the
services.
I had a conflict with my wife so I was
looking a better way how I can communicate better with her most of the time I was
inducing my plans and started talking about myself and the plans I have for the
family but in doing that I found myself in conflict time after time which was
so disappointing and I happened to read certain article is when I realized what
needed to be done one evening from work I deceided to remind myself of what my
wife wanted and was talking all the time and because we had gone so far I listen
to people she talked so as to know what she wanted and not I wanted then I
decided to start my talk about “her plans
,ambitions, interest of hers not mine “ doing that I realized more rapport
friendliness and after I finished I put my topic it was very much supported and
I saw tremendous improvement I realized I needed to start with her to get mine.
I love my two little kids they are so
adorable but I always try to be great at parenting and giving them good stands
in life and morals but when influencing them so I was telling them no this is
not good that is not good but telling them bad things helped but not as much as
when I said doing this will make you good kid doing that will make you good kid
by giving them credit I realized they were more connected to do more good than
when I was stopping them from doing bad things.
I had a small shop with one employee so I wanted
to find a means that could help me to motivate my employee work much better
than she was doing so I decided one day in the evening I will pay you your rent
this month which was not in our contract she was very happy and I suddenly saw
greater efficiency motivations and employee happiness than it was before but
that one giving gave me more earning than what I lost.
Companies should focus on employee’s welfare
and development most of the organizations are more concerned on setting the KPI
and putting punitive measures or sometimes firing for their employees insufficiencies
if companies desire to hit their targets they should focus on developing
internally most of times than thinking of replacing people for the roles that
they can easily set funds to develop their internal staff to do the same
activities and reach the desired goals than hiring orienting someone from
outside at higher costs .
Company should be customer centric an
organization that plans to solve customer problems is the one that has a
possibilities of prospering than a company that plans at selling and ensuring
it hits sells targets which focuses on selling and convincing, manipulating
customers and pushing sells people to sell more while they have not well
researched if their product is solving and bringing value to the customers.
Employees should be trained to value
customers what is called customer service .from my experience is that employee
represent a company and a company is an employee and based on different
articles .so what customers view employee is what they perceive of a company
,employees should always be reminded that their existence is because of the
clients not because of the company the company is not hiring the employee but
clients demand is what hires the employee a bank that develop certain product
does not think of increasing number of employees it is thinking of increasing
income but increasing returns they have to think what a customer would want so
an employee should be able to generate new things to give customers or give
most of what customers will want at their satisfaction and that is assurances
of their job. Otherwise an employee who does not place a care to clients with
arrogance have to be assured of losing their position. Employees have to give
more do more in order to get acceptance from customers I had a restaurant one of my employee had
gone for leave my clients started asking where is A and I would say she will be
back she went on leave at the same time when I was alone with the client she
said teach your B employee she has poor answers and careless so I knew my an
employee loved and gave more to her work that is why client loved her and I decided
to reward that employee for that but also teach that other employee.
To my conclusion it is when you give more you
are likely to receive more than anyone else don’t look on immediate return nor
direct return you always have to give more not expecting the return that way
your assuring yourself of your earnings success and future goods things can be denied
but will always be remembered and that is the strongest means of creating the strong
relationship and future. Ibrahim from bible was willing to sacrifice his son Isack but his willingness to give him was granted more than what his faith he had but .my lesson is on giving it is sometimes as sacrifice and painful but has better reward a chance to earn influence power and make impact desired this is important for entrepreneurs,graduates ,employees managers and those in charge of others.Credit to my teachers and mentors "Late Dr Myres Munroe,John C Maxwel,Simon Sinek,Seth Godins,Joel Nanauka."meet none but learned through them alot.my General Manager Filbert Kavia great leader and Manager.
